Reason #1: Jenny Jo missed Melanie's Birthday

For the past year Melanie has been an odd numbered age. This year is special because now that number is even. Even numbers are better than odd numbers because they divide equally. Although Jenny Jo has attended many-a-birthday party, this one was special because Melanie was excited about being even aged again and she received several piano related presents. A chocolate cake was made in her honor, with a decadent chocolate-creme cheese frosting. We played a Disney version of Mafia and the townspeople won. Melanie attempted to pass herself off as the Fairy Godmother, but was dragged to the hangman's noose anyway, on the point that a "Godmother" isn't an ideal identity when you're trying to avoid connections to the Mafia. It was later revealed that Melanie wasn't the Fairy Godmother at all, but Cruella De Vil. We also played Liverpool rummy and Hand and Foot. Those in attendance felt Jenny Jo would have enjoyed the festivities and lamented her absence at the end of the evening. Come visit, Jenny Jo! And we will re-live our experiences of tonight! Maybe we can find some more fireworks to light at midnight.

  1. I want to come, I do, but I must say I was surprised by this blog. If you were a different person, I would have accused you of creating this while you were under the influence of party beverages I know you didn't drink...

I will tell you that I am thinking of coming in February. Cheap tickets.

  2. Under the influence?! What on earth gave you that idea? The creation was both a joint idea and effort.

    Hurray for February!
